New software system taking place Monday, September 10 to 14.
North East Lincolnshire Council will be unable to issue new and replacement bus passes from Monday, September 10, to Friday, September 14, due to a major software upgrade.
The council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused however, the software upgrade is a Government requirement and is essential to ensure the council can continue to renew or issue replacement travel cards. The system is currently provided by the government. However a new policy states that from September 24, all local authorities are required to procure and provide their own systems.
If existing bus pass holders have not renewed their pass before Friday, September 7, they can obtain a cover note from either the Civic Offices or Municipal Offices, which will last from September 10 until September 17. When boarding the bus, pass holders will need to show the cover note along with the existing expired pass to the bus driver. Cover notes can be obtained from:
- Municipal Offices, Town Hall Square, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN31 1HU – Opening times: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
- Cleethorpes Civic Offices, Knoll Street, Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, DN35 8LN – Opening times: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
Normal service is due to recommence at the above council offices from Monday, September 17.
