Job club workshops to help job seekers
Advice and skills on offer
Job seekers are being offered help and advice in finding work in a series of Workshops being held throughout the Borough.
North East Lincolnshire Council’s job club actively supports residents in search of employment, a change in career or a new challenge.
The workshops provide applicants with advice and skills needed to search and apply for work at the authority or elsewhere.
Session will be taking place at Grimsby Library, Immingham Resource Centre and Cleethorpes Library from July 25 and will run until December 2008.
The job club is free to join and registered users can make use of benefits such as two hours free internet use a day, help in improving interview skills, writings a successful CV and looking at how to apply for jobs online.
The job club recently assisted Valanteena Gnanasundaramoorthy in securing a job as a finance officer with North East Lincolnshire Council.
Valanteena said: “I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a job to join the club.
“It has helped me develop my self-confidence in finding a job. The workshops helped me complete application forms, gave me advice in where to apply for jobs and helped me with interview techniques.
“I will recommend any job seekers to use the job club to find a job.”
Anyone interested in joining the club can pick up a joining form from any Library in the North East Lincolnshire or can apply online. Visit www.nelincs.gov.uk/jobscareers
