Emergency control room is stepped down following limited rainfall

North East Lincolnshire Council has now stepped down its emergency control room in response to the severe weather risks diminishing.

However, the situation will be constantly monitored and should conditions deteriorate, the control room will be reconvened.

Ray Oxby, executive director of environmental services, said: "The council remains in a high state of alert should any further weather warnings be issued."

Residents can check on weather updates by visiting the Met Office website at www.metoffice.gov.uk and by listening to local radio stations.
