Presentation Ceremony for Foundation Learning

On 14th November 2011, Community Learning Services hosted a Presentation Ceremony for Foundation Learning at the Freeman Street Resource and Community Centre in Kent Street to celebrate the achievements of their learners.

28 young people were presented with their certificates by Cllr Pickett, Susan, The Worshipful Mayor of the Borough of North East Lincolnshire.The Mayor was accompanied by her Consort, Mr. Doug Pickett, Susan Simpson (Head of Community Learning Services) and representatives of the Foundation Learning Team.

Special awards were also given to:

  • Learner of the Year - Liam Briggs
  • Andy Boswell Construction Award - Kirsty Loche
  • Achiever of the Year - Ashley Johnson
  • Most Improved Learner - David Norton

Presentation Ceremony

In announcing these awards, Garry Denford (Curriculum Co-ordinator for Foundation Learning) highlighted the significance of the learners’ achievements in terms of the challenges they had faced and overcome. The Foundation Learning Team hopes all the learners’ achievements will help to inspire others on their programmes.
