You may appeal against your liability to pay Council Tax, our decision not to award an exemption or discount, or any other mistake that may have been made when calculating your bill.

If you wish to appeal on these grounds you must notify the Council in writing within six months of receiving your bill, so that your case may be considered.

You can do this by writing to us at the address given below or by visiting one of the Council's Customer Access points.

If you appeal for any reason, you must pay your bill until any appeal is settled.

For information on appealing against a banding decision, please see our page 'How do I appeal if I disagree with my banding?'
