Grounds maintenance

Community Pride was set up as North East Lincolnshire Council environmental enforcement team, to work within the Borough to tackle environmental crime, nuisance and anti social behaviour.

Our work follows Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs guidelines and our officers are trained to adhere to these and the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) (section 79) plus the  Prevention Damage of Pests Act as well as other legislation available to them, depending on the circumstances.

The council provides a stray dog service, and the rehoming of these dogs via Sangreats Kennels.

Help and actions we can give/take depending on the circumstances:-

  • Education
  • Mediation
  • Serving legal notices
  • Removal and recharge of waste
  • Planned removal of offending items from properties
  • Prosecution

Organisations who we work with:-

  • Police
  • Fire Brigade
  • Safer and Stronger Communities
  • Shoreline
  • Havelock
  • Neighbourhood watch
