Community Pride was set up as North East Lincolnshire Council environmental enforcement team, to work within the Borough to tackle environmental crime, nuisance and anti social behaviour.
Our work follows Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs guidelines and our officers are trained to adhere to these and the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) (section 79) plus the Prevention Damage of Pests Act as well as other legislation available to them, depending on the circumstances.

Street cleaning duties
- operates 362 days a year, between 6 am and 6 pm
- mechaical and manual street cleaning
- emptying of litter bins
- Top Town, Freeman Street, Cleethorpes Town Centre and Resort are emptied at least twice a day.
- Other bins are emptied two to three times a week.

- removal of flytipping
- gully clearing
- clearing of oil spills on adopted highway only
- if on a private road, it is the responsibility of the residents
- to report an oil spill please use the Street care number

- clinical waste collection from households
