North East Lincolnshire Council is now operating the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme replacing the former Scores on the Doors rating system. All relevant information about food businesses within North East Lincolnshire was transferred to the new scheme on 1st May 2012.
The National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme helps make it easier for you to choose food businesses with good hygiene when you're eating out or shopping for food. The scheme is run by local authorities across England, Wales and Northern Island in partnership with the Food Standards Agency.
When you eat out or shop for food look out for a sticker in the window, or a certificate on display. Businesses are encouraged to display stickers and certificates at their premises where you can easily see them.
You can search for food hygiene ratings on the Food Standards Agency website. To find out more about how the rating scheme works click the links on the right.
