Here is where we will keep you up to date with all the activity timetables, training timetables and newsletters for those Children's Centres included in The Hub.

A guide to activities in The Hub

Baby and Toddler Clinic Drop in to get baby weighed and speak to Health Professionals.

Baby Massage This 5 week course will teach you to massage your baby to help with bonding, sleep routines and tummy upsets. There is a small voluntary contribution for resources. To book please contact the Children’s Centre.

Baby Talk A parent led group for you and your baby (0 - 12 months) to meet new friends and discuss the issues that are affecting you.

Breastfeeding Support Informal session where you can get support and advice around breastfeeding from our peer supporters and other parents.

Bumps and Babies An informal drop-in session for expectant and new mums. Come and share experiences, make friends and receive support.

Childminders’ Group A session for childminders in the area to meet up, discuss issues and have fun with the children.

Come and Have Fun An informal, relaxed play session for children 0 – 5 years, providing an opportunity for you to interact with your child in fun and stimulating surroundings. Just drop in - no need to book.

Developmental Checks These checks are arranged by your Health Visiting Team.

Dads’ Clubs A session for dads and male carers to interact with their children.

Dads’ and Family Club A session for dads or mums who work in the week to access the Children’s Centre and play with their children.

Eco Tots / Little Diggers To provide children with an understanding about where some of our food comes from, how to grow your own and encourage children to take an interest in the garden and the natural world around them.

Family Links Nurturing Programme To help families get the best out of family life. The 10 week course aims to support parents and families offering different strategies for managing behaviour and achieving a happier family life. Please contact the centre to book your place.
There is a small voluntary charge each week for resources and a suggested voluntary contribution of £1 per week for crèche provision.

HENRY Health, Exercise and Nutrition for the Really Young. Learn about healthy lifestyles for the whole family.
There is a small voluntary charge each week for resources and a suggested voluntary contribution of £1 per week for crèche provision.

Home Safety Sessions Babies and toddlers explore their surroundings but don’t understand what might hurt them. Find out how you can keep your little one safe – learn valuable information about accident prevention.

Learning Through Play This course is delivered to 3 stages – baby, toddler and pre-school. Learn together with your child in a fun, safe and enabling environment. Discover how to support child development and learning. You will be able to keep a ‘magic moments’ book of your child’s progress and receive useful information for continuing your child’s development in the home.

Midwifery Clinic Ante-natal and post-natal appointments as previously arranged with your Midwife.

Mini Movers Lively dance and movement session to help keep children keep fit and healthy. Just drop in - no need to book.

Mini Music A fun-filled session enabling children and their carers to learn new songs and explore musical instruments.
There is a charge of £1 for the session at New Waltham Village Hall.

Mini Rhyme Time For 0-6 months and their parent/carer. Weekly session led by our health team. This is an opportunity to talk about you and your babies needs. No booking required – just turn up with a blanket or towel for baby to lay on.
