We offer a range of work experience opportunities to students from local secondary schools and colleges.
This allows the Council raise young people's awareness of the range of job opportunities in the Council and gain a work experience placement to support any vocational qualification.
North East Lincolnshire Council(NELC) supports the Diploma in North East Lincolnshire.
14-16 Work Experience
NELC offers a wide range of work experience to give you the opportunity to exlpore all the different career options available to you within local government. Previously, students have joined us for two weeks of work experience in areas such as:
- Accountancy
- Environmental Services
- Sports Development
- Grimsby Town Football Club
- Architecture
14-19 Work Experience
These placements typically run for 200 hours on the basis of one day per week with the aim of supporting during your academic studies. These are also available in all our departments upon request.
