Cleethorpes Discovery Centre can offer your school a hassle-free educational visit around the beach and Boating Lake, tailored to meet your specific needs.

Choose our idyllic location for your cross-curricular school trip and enjoy a delightful day out that your pupils will be talking about for weeks to come! Choose from our selection of spring and autumn trails to match your specific classroom topics.

Our trail guides have specialist knowledge on species and habitat identification in the Cleethorpes area, enabling children to learn about the wildlife and characteristics of Cleethorpes as they are led around the Boating Lake and on to the sand dunes.

Children are taught about the different types of wildlife and their habitats found along the Cleethorpes coastline, with ample opportunities to observe the Humber Estuary, which is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Pupils can take in the fantastic scenery across the sand dunes as they enjoy their time outdoors, making it a great opportunity for learning outside the classroom.

Weather permitting, we encourage our school groups to stay around the Boating Lake for a picnic, sketching or a play in our sand pit area. Indoor space may be available on request.
You may want to combine your trip with an outdoor workshop tailored to your specific learning objectives or a visit to Grimsby’s Fishing Heritage Centre.

Whatever your needs, Cleethorpes Discovery Centre can offer your school an enriching experience and an enjoyable trip for all!
