Allotments
The council manages approximately 1,800 allotment plots located at 8 sites throughout Grimsby and Cleethorpes. Working an allotment allows you to:
- Grow your own fresh fruit and vegetables at low cost
- Grow in health and enjoy the benefits of outdoor exercise
- Grow new friendships and meet new people
- Grow in knowledge and skills as you learn the techniques of gardening

Recycling, Rubbish and Waste
Everyone has a responsibility to think about how much rubbish they produce and how it is being disposed of.
The 3 R's are: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
- Most importantly to Reduce how much rubbish we make,
- second most important is to Re-use products and packaging,
- and thirdly to send materials for Recycling where possible.
