The average size of an allotment plot is 250 square metres (300 square yards).
Please see the document to the right of this page which shows occupation levels at all sites. The symbols indicate if the occupancy has increased, decreased or remained the same from the previous month. The Beacon Hill figures are not available as this site was handed over to the association on January 1st 2012 as a devolved managed site.
The basic rate for a standard plot for the 2013 calendar year is £81.13. Tenants are entitled to a plot at the reduced rate of £45.71 if they are over 60 years of age, unemployed for more than 12 months, registered as disabled or in receipt of Invalidity Benefit, or a full time student.
In addition, water is metered at each site and the charge distributed between all tenanted plots on that site. The charge is usually less than £20 per year.
If you have lost your allotment invoice please contact Allotment Enquiries for a copy.
