Status

The Children's Trust in North East Lincolnshire will bring together all partners serving children, young people and families in North East Lincolnshire to make a commitment to them to deliver health, social care and education services using the Every Child Matters Framework. Partners in the Children's Trust will include the local authority, schools, National Health Service, the police, Connexions, Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and voluntary and community services. This will incorporate planning, finance, purchasing and delivering services either through an actual or virtual environment.

Local authorities and the National Health Service are expected to take steps to unify or co-ordinate services in keeping with:

• The Government's Children Act 2004
• The  'Every Child Matters' Green Paper 2003
• National Service Framework for Children, Young People and Maternity Services 2004.
