The Children's Trust has brought together all of the partners serving children, young people and families in North East Lincolnshire, to deliver the services of health, social care and education services using the Every Child Matters Framework. Partners in the Children's Trust include: the local authority, schools, national health services, the police, Connexions, the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and voluntary and community services. This will incorporate planning, financing, purchasing and delivering services either through an actual or virtual environment.
We are taking steps to unify or co-ordinate services in keeping with:
- The Government's Children Act 2004
- The Green Paper 'Every Child Matters' 2003
- National Service Framework for Children, Young People and Maternity Services 2004.
One of the key areas of work is engaging children, young people and their families so that they can influence the services that they require.
Children's Services throughout North East Lincolnshire continue to work in partnership to provide services for children and young people either on an individual basis or to groups of young people in specific areas of the town or to whole neighbourhoods where there is an identified need. This includes taking risks and innovative approaches to achieve the best outcomes for children, young people and their families.
