The 2007 - 2010 Children and Young People's Plan sets out long term top priorities for children and young people. Detailed below are some of the steps we have taken in working towards meeting these priorities.

supporting ten young people who are members of Youth Bank to administer in excess of £200k in the last year

developing a Young People's Housing Strategy

developed Neighbourhood Working groups which are listening to children and young people's views

organised 'Getting Heard' training which is delivered by young people for young people with a disability to enable them to develop skills in participating on School Councils and the Council for Young People

appointed a senior Youth Worker and Level 2 worker with direct responsibility for diversity and inclusion

delivered Neighbourhood Studies in West Marsh, Nunsthorpe/Bradley Park/The Grange, Immingham and Willows/Wybers/Healing/Great Coates and Cleethorpes

reduced youth crime in Immingham with the Sports Linc initiative run in partnership with Humberside Police, Grimsby Town Football in the Community and North East Lincolnshire Sports Development Team

formed the Housing Options Multi-Agency Panel to offer housing and support to some of the most difficult to house young people and adults, regardless of their problems/backgrounds.
