Detailed below are our priority areas for 2007-10. The 2007-8 Needs Assessment has informed the identification of these priorities and as a result of the updated needs assessment some new priority areas have been identified for the 2007-10 Plan, these are highlighted below.
Keeping all children and young people safe from:
Being bullied or being racially abused
Domestic violence in the home
Other areas for development
Developing parenting skills
Improving provision for children and young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities by improving transition planning and monitoring to ensure the timely engagement of relevant services
Continuing to take action to reduce the number of children hurt or injured on our roads or in accidents
Improving the safety of children and young people inside and outside of their homes (in particular domestic violence, safe internet use, physical and sexual abuse, homophobic abuse, substance misuse)
