Performance Management Framework

The Children and Young People's Plan has been informed by the Local Area Agreement Targets which will report on progress through the Children's Trust  Partnership and the Local Strategic Partnership Board.  The next round of Local Area Agreements will take into account the priorities in this Children and Young People's Plan.

Key Stages of Our Performance Management and Review Arrangements

1. The Children's Trust will set baselines and agree how data will be collected, shared and      reviewed across services and agencies.

2. The Children's Trust - Executive Board will agree how resources will be shifted and deployed jointly to achieve the targets.

3. Identify and agree lead officers who will:

4. Our Participation Strategy will ensure that we involve and listen to children and young people, their parents, carers and families.  We will ask them if we are succeeding in making a difference.

5. The Children's Trust will communicate how we are making a difference, across all services, partnerships, carers and families on a quarterly basis.

6. Review and report success against the priorities in this Refresh and the Every Child Matters outcomes, with lessons learned, to the council, Children's Services Scrutiny, Children's Trust Boards and Partner Management Boards.

Successful performance management will require us to work together to develop indicators and measures which will tell us how well we are doing for children and young people in North East Lincolnshire, how we compare to others and if we are making a difference.

It is important that we do this to ensure that the resources we are committing are providing value for money and are needs based and to check that the changes we expect to deliver are taking place.  If not, we need to review the situation and do things differently.
