How to Apply for a Travel Pass

Passes are issued free of charge from any of these local Council offices:

Municipal Offices, Town Hall Square, Grimsby (Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 08:30 - 17:30)

Civic Offices, Knoll Street, Cleethorpes (Opening Hours Mon-Fri 08:30 - 17:30)

Immingham District Office, Civic Centre, Immingham (Opening Hours: Mon 09:00 - 16:00, Wed 10:00 - 14:00, Fri 08:00 - 16:00)

You need to bring along with you proof that you are a resident of North East Lincolnshire and you :

  • are aged over 60; or
  • are registered with North East Lincolnshire Community Care as having a disability; or
  • are in receipt of War Pensioners mobility supplement; or
  • are receiving higher rate mobility element as part of your DLA; or
  • have a letter from you care co-ordinator on letter headed paper stating that you are in receipt of Community Mental Health Services.; or
  • have a letter from your GP on letter headed paper stating that you are "medically unfit to drive".

A photograph is taken whilst you wait using the latest video technology and is then imprinted on to a plastic credit card sized card for increased security.  The process takes about 5 minutes plus any waiting time and please be aware that the offices are generally less busy in the afternoons.

Travel Passes are valid for two years from date of issue.  On expiry your pass will be invalid.
