Children and staff in high visibilty jackets

Section 76 of the Education and inspection Act 2006 requires the council to promote sustainable travel and transport for the school journey. This involves assessing travel and transport needs against the provision of footpaths, cycle tracks and public transport etc. A strategy to improve the infrastructure so that it better meets the sustainable travel and transport needs of children and young people has to be published by 31st August each year.
