Register of Applications for Definitive Map Modification Orders
made under Section 53(5) Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

Surveying Authorities are now required to keep a register of applications for Definitive Map modification orders.  The register will help increase knowledge among landowners, users of public rights of way and the general public about applications which could result in changes to the Definitive Map and/or Statement. Further information on how to claim a public right of way can be obtained by contacting the Public Rights of Way Mapping Officer on 01472 324726.
