Walking Strategy

Streets are the one universal product that everybody uses and often perceived as the shop window for the area or an authority. Through the walking strategy the Council can help improve the environmental, economical and social climate for its residents and visitors.

The walking strategy is mainly concerned with encouraging people to walk to access facilities such as shops, schools, leisure facilities, etc., as an alternative to using the car.
