North East Lincolnshire Council, as the Highway Authority, is under a statutory duty to maintain the highway. In order to facilitate safe movement, as far as reasonably practicable, during bad weather, the Council will undertake prioritised pre-treatment ("precautionary" salting) and, subject to available resources, snow clearing operations.
