Street Lighting Within North East Lincolnshire
Electrical Supply
The street lighting within the authority is supplied via the Yorkshire Electricity Distribution Limited (YEDL) cable network. It is YEDL responsibility to rectify any loss of supply to street lights.
Connections and disconnections of electricity services to lighting columns etc are carried by CE - Electric and their contractors.
The authority in partnership with YPO (Yorkshire Procurment Organisation) have appointed NPOWER as the energy supplier for Street Lighting and other lit street furniture.
1. Lighting and Crime
- This year approx. £228,000 will be spent on lighting improvements, through the Local Transport Plan,LTP, in areas that would benefit most from improved lighting.
- The areas to be improved were identified by the Council in partnership with the Police and Safer Communities Partnership.
