Street Lighting Service
The Council is responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of street lighting within North East Lincolnshire.
North East Lincolnshire has approximately 19,000 columns and 3,500 illuminated signs and bollards.
These are the Service Standards we will endeavour to meet:
- Routinely inspect all lighting (and illuminated street furniture) to check for inoperative units.
- Keep 98% of street lights working at all times.
- Repair faulty street lights within an average of 5 working days (unless the fault is due to a regional electricity power failure which is the responsibility of YEDL)
- YEDL aim to repair faults within an average of 15 working days.
- Deal with dangerous occurences (e.g. exposed electrical wiring, vandalism, road traffic accidents) within 1 hour to make them safe.
