Local Transport Plan
North East Lincolnshire Council has produced it's second Local Transport Plan (LTP2), covering the period April 2006 - March 2011, the document sets out a bold vision of the future of North East Lincolnshire. It shows what the Council intneds to do to improve the local transport system to support the efforts of the many organisations involved in improving the local economy and quality of life in the area. the improvements are intended to:
- Tackle Congestion;
- Improve Accessibility (how people get to where they want to be);
- Make roads safer;
- Improve Air Quality;
- Improve Quality of life
The LTP covers car travel, car parks, buses and bus stops, trains and stations, walking and cycling, lorries and taxis and any other forms of transport.
Annual Performance Reports (APRs) are produced each year to inform the public as to progress made towards delivering the priorities set out in LTP2. Copies of the APRs can be downloaded by following the links below.
In 2008, North East Lincolnshire Council produced the LTP2 Progress Report 2008, a mid-term review of the Council's delivery of local transport. The document is available below.
During LTP2, a regular quarterly newsletter will be produced, the newsletter will set out the key achievements that have been achieved and will look forward to new projects that are about to happen. From time to time there will also be a special newsletter produced, these will be about one specific issue. Recent newsletters can be viewed by following the links below, each document will open as a pdf file.
