Armed Forces Weekend: Local public transport arrangements

Due to the Armed Forces Weekend in Cleethorpes, From Friday 24 June to Sunday 26 June 2016 buses will divert.

Friday 24 June

Service 3 will operate via St. Peter’s Avenue where it will change to Service 4. Service 3 will not serve Sea Road.
Service 4 will operate via St. Peter’s Avenue where it will change to Service 3. Service 4 will not serve The Knoll, Alexandra Road & Sea Road.
Services 9 & 10 will operate via St. Peter’s Avenue, Highgate, Thrunscoe Road, Queens Parade & Kingsway in both directions. Alexandra Road will not be served.

Saturday 25 June

Service 3 toward Cleethorpes will divert from Cleethorpe Road along Park St, Carr Lane, Clee Road, Beacon Ave then into Sandringham Rd where it will change to service 4.
Service 4 towards Cleethorpes will operate its normal route until Sandringham Road / Trinity Road Junction, where it will change to service 3. It will then operate via Beacon Avenue, Clee Road, Carr Lane, Park Street and Cleethorpes Road.
Service 9 / 10 toward Cleethorpes will divert from Cleethorpe Road along Park St, Carr Lane, Clee Road, Beacon Ave, Trinity Road, Taylors Ave, Humberston Road, Grimsby Road, Humberston Road to North Sea Lane, where they will change to service 7 & 8.
Service 12 will divert via Fiveways, Carr Lane, Clee Road, Beacon Ave in both direction.
The Humber Flyer towards Cleethorpes will terminate at the last stop on Clee Road. Travelling towards Grimsby the Humber Flyer will start from the first stop on Clee Road.
Service 17 from Thorpe Park will operate its normal route to the Wellow Pub. At the Wellow, it will turn left and operate via Chichester Road, Hardy’s Road, Thrunscoe Road and St. Peter’s Avenue where it will terminate.

On its return to Thorpe Park service 17 will depart from St. Peter’s Avenue and operate via Oxford Street, Taylor’s Avenue, Hardy’s Road, Chichester Road to the Wellow, where it will resume its normal route.

Where there are no bus stops, a hail and ride service will operate. Please note that the driver may only stop to allow passengers to board and alight when it is safe to do so. There may be some occasions where drivers are unable to allow passengers to board or alight if he deems that it is not safe to stop.

Sunday 26 June

Service 3 will operate via St. Peter’s Avenue where it will change to Service 4. Service 3 will not serve Sea Road.
Service 4 will operate via St. Peter’s Avenue where it will change to Service 3. Service 4 will not serve The Knoll, Alexandra Road & Sea Road.
Service 10 will operate via St. Peter’s Avenue, Highgate, Thrunscoe Road, Queens Parade & Kingsway in both directions. Alexandra Road will not be served.

As a result of road closures and an increase in traffic, delays are likely for the duration of the Armed Forces event.
