Assisted bin collection
We offer an assisted bin collection service for households where no-one is physically able to place their bins and boxes out at the edge of their property.
It changes your normal collection service and allows you to agree with us a collection point within your property boundary. This means that the collection staff will be able to collect your waste and recycling at a location, within your property boundaries, which is more suitable for you.
Read our Assisted bin collections – Terms and conditions (PDF) to see if you qualify for an assisted collection.
What do I do to get an assisted collection?
Apply online on our Assisted bin collection application form.
Or you can download our Assisted collection application form (PDF) and return it to Waste Operations, Gilbey Road Depot, Estuary Way, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN31 2UD.
We will require a photocopy of proof of infirmity or disability. This is to make sure that the service is only given to those who need it. Suitable documents are:
- attendance allowance,
- disability allowance,
- mobility allowance,
- sickness benefits,
- or medical certificate issued by a doctor
If you want to change your address or cancel an assisted collection, you can contact us via our Assisted collection service amendment form.
