Candidates

Details of candidates standing for the Immingham Town Council elections can be found in the Statement of Persons Nominated – Immingham Town Council.

At the close of nominations, there were more candidates than seats up for election for the Bluestone Ward, so there will be a contested poll on Thursday, 2 May, 2019 to decide who is elected to the three seats available.  Only residents within Bluestone Ward will be able to vote in this election.  The remaining wards were uncontested and details of the candidates elected can be viewed in the Result of Uncontested Election.

At the close of nominations, there were no contested parish council elections.  Details of candidates duly elected to the parish councils can be found in the Result of Uncontested Election .

The Count

The verification of all ballot papers for the Immingham Town Council Bluestone Ward election will take place at the conclusion of the poll from 10pm onwards on Thursday, 2 May 2019 at the Grimsby Auditorium, Cromwell Road, Grimsby.

The count for this election will take place at 11am on Friday, 3 May 2019 at Grimsby Town Hall.

Absent Votes

If you require a Postal Vote for the election on 2 May 2019, the application must be received by the elections team no later than 15 April 2019 at 5pm.

Please note that any Postal Vote applications received before 3pm on 29 March 2019, these postal votes will be sent first class on 17 April 2019. For Postal Vote applications received between 3pm on 29 March 2019 and 5pm on 15 April 2019, these postal votes will not be sent out until around 23 April 2019.

Proxy vote application forms must be received by the elections office by no later 5pm on Wednesday, 24 April 2019.  Please note that if you currently have a postal vote and would prefer a proxy vote instead, your postal vote must be cancelled before 15 April at 5pm.  Your proxy voter must be on the electoral register and will cast your vote at your normal polling station.
