Parking for key workers

Full parking enforcement has resumed, except for NHS and health and social care workers who display the correct exemption slips in their windscreen.

We have suspended charges and time restrictions for the above named workers on all council car parks and on-street council parking bays.

Bus pass issuing

Residents will be required to make a face-to-face appointment at one of the following sites:

Centre4, Nunsthorpe – Open from Monday 10 August (To book an appointment, call 01472 236688)

AGE UK, Cleethorpes – Open from Monday 10 August (To book an appointment, call 01472 344976, Option 2)

Grimsby Central Library – Open from Tuesday 11 August (To book an appointment, call 01472 323626)

Immingham Civic Centre Community Hub from Wednesday 12 August. Please call (01472) 313131, option 7, to book an appointment for either a Wednesday or Thursday between 12pm and 3pm.

When applying for a new bus pass, you must remember:

  • Elderly bus pass – Bring proof of age and address (dated within the last three months)
  • Disabled bus pass – Bring proof of address and most recent proof of eligibility.

Renewal and replacement bus passes

Bus pass renewals and lost, stolen or damaged pass replacement will be re-starting from Monday 13 July via the council’s contact centre on 01472 313131.

You must provide your bus pass number during the application. Passes will be printed and posted directly to the bus pass holder. It may take up to two weeks for delivery.

Latest travel information

Stagecoach Grimsby Cleethorpes have advised bus drivers to treat bus passes that do not register for any reason in accordance with the existing procedures and processes. Bus pass holders will be allowed to travel for free.

Phone ‘n’ Ride

Phone ‘n’ Ride has returned to full service, offering travel for to and from work, medical appointments, shopping and leisure and social trips.

There are a range of safety measures in place for passengers and drivers, including enhanced cleaning routines and social distancing measures.

Blue Badge

You have until 30 September to park with a Blue Badge which has an expiry date of 1 January 2020. You must apply to Apply, renew, replace or cancel Blue Badge now to make sure you receive a new one in time.

The only enforcement suspended is for expired badges, all other enforcement against other types of misuse or parking where blue badge concessions are not valid will continue.
