COVID-19: Tourism business impact survey

Tourism businesses of all sizes across North East Lincolnshire are being encouraged to fill out a short survey to record the impact of COVID-19 on their business.

The survey, being organised by North East Lincolnshire Council, will collect data around how businesses are faring in the resort, and what plans they have to reintroduce trading with regard to current Government social distancing guidelines.

It also highlights some of the multiple routes of support available to businesses in terms of funding, grants, and advice.

Cllr Callum Procter, Cabinet member for tourism, said: “We need to establish just how hard our local businesses have been hit by the effects of this pandemic, and what we can do to help them. It might be that some businesses have possibly missed the information about grants available. Or it might be that some businesses are a little lost about the new guidelines. We want to understand how businesses are coping and what we can do to help.”

As a result of the survey, the Council will be able to target support available, and also collect good practice examples to share across the business community.

The survey closes on Wednesday 3 June.
