There have now been confirmed cases of COVID-19 in North East Lincolnshire.

Following the advice from the Government, North East Lincolnshire Council staff have been asked to work from home where possible.

GRIMSBY’S very own ‘big build’, masterminded by North East Lincolnshire Council and regeneration partners, ENGIE, has seen a former care home transformed into a facility that will ease pressure on the NHS during the coronavirus crisis.

WORK to transform a prime Grimsby town centre site is to start, as contractors take all the necessary precautions to comply with COVID-19 safety and hygiene restrictions.

 

Flags flying for the NHS
Flags have been raised today at Remembrance Gate in Cleethorpes to celebrate the work of those in the NHS and care sectors ahead of this week’s “Clap for Carers”.

 

Charity offers advice to people tempted to drink more than usual
Drug, alcohol and mental health charity We Are With You (formerly Addaction) is offering advice to people tempted to drink more than usual due to the measures in place to slow down the spread of COVID-19.

What you can do
There are lots of things you can do to help reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading and affecting the people you love. 

For up-to-date health advice, visit NHS.uk.

  • Stay at home as much as possible
  • If you do go out, avoid gatherings and group activities
  • Stay 2m apart from others
  • Regularly wash your hands

If you feel that you cannot cope with your symptoms at home, your symptoms do not get better after 7 days, or your condition worsens, you should use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service.
