North East Lincolnshire Council

Flooding

Flooding can affect all people across the borough either by directly flooding homes and businesses or disrupting other aspects of daily life.  In recent years we have experienced flooding from surface water, rivers and the sea.

The Flood and Water Management Act 2010 established North East Lincolnshire Council, as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) giving the council the new local leadership and co-ordination role in flood risk management in the borough.
