Drugs and alcohol abuse destroys lives and communities.
North East Lincolnshire is estimated to have 25,000 hazardous or harmful drinkers, 5000 dependant drinkers, 15,000 binge drinkers and 45%of all crime is believed to be alcohol related. The level of hard illicit drug users in North East Lincolnshire has been steadily falling over the last few years. Although it is still estimated that there are 1,587 heroin users and 560 crack cocaine users.
Drugs and alcohol services are now provided by Addaction and Grimsby Practices in Partnership Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services.
Addaction North East Lincolnshire provides a full range of help for young persons experiencing problems with their drug or alcohol use, from harm reduction via active treatment and through to detoxification and rehabilitation.
