Louth: A Lincolnshire Railway Centre
Join local historian and author, Alf Ludlum, in the second of his popular talks on local railways. Alf has written extensively on the history of the local railway, publishing numerous books on the subject.
For many years Louth was the centre of railway activity in East Lincolnshire with one in five people in the town employed by the railway company. Here Alf explores the fascinating history of the station, including the impact of the Second World War.
The talk will be at the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre on Saturday 12 May from 1.30pm to 3.00pm.
Tickets are on sale now (cost £5, including refreshments) and can be purchased from Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre (open Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm, Tel: 01472 323345 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.)
