During the final stages of work, the majority of the carriageway on Moody Lane will be resurfaced between the junctions of Woad Lane and Gilbey Road.
To allow the drainage improvements to be carried out, a full 24-hour road closure will be in place starting on Monday 21 October for two weeks.
Access to businesses, emergency access and the existing footway will be maintained throughout the closures.
Advanced warning signs and signed diversion routes will be put in place during the closures.
Works completed so far during this phase include:
- Removal of the disused rail tracks and crossing signals on Moody Lane to allow for the existing footpath to be widened and incorporate a shared use footway and cycleway;
- Improvements to existing drainage systems;
- Improvements to street lighting.
Phase 3 works are set to be completed on Friday 1 November.
