People who need a new or replacement bus pass can now pick them up from the Carer’s Support Centre in Town Hall Square, Grimsby.
It means there are now three locations where people can pick up a new or replacement bus pass.
This includes concessionary bus passes for elderly people, adults and children with a disability and, companions of adults and children with a disability.
Grimsby charity Centre4 was awarded the contract to issue new and replacement bus passes on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council in May last year.
As well as the new venue, passes are also available from Centre4 in Wootton Road, Grimsby, and Age UK North East Lincolnshire in Wardall Street, Cleethorpes.
Cllr Matthew Patrick, portfolio holder for Finance, Community Assets, Governance and Tourism, North East Lincolnshire Council, said:
“We want to make services as easy to access as possible and I have directly and indirectly had countless requests for a town centre venue close to the bus station, I’m grateful to the Carer’s Support Centre and Linda Dellow from Centre4 for their support.
“People can now have their bus passes processed in the town centre, just a few strides from the Riverhead Exchange.”
Linda Dellow, Chief Officer at Centre4 said:
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Carers Support Centre to extend the delivery of bus passes to the town centre.
“Having been in the carers centre many times myself, I can see there is lots going on so this also presents a great opportunity to highlight the services, activities and support available to carers and their families.”
