Public Notice of Temporary One Way Restriction of Traffic Order – 21 December 2018

(TEMPORARY ONE WAY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be to implement a one way restriction on the below mentioned roads, from Monday 7th January, 2019 to Friday 31st May 2019;

  • Town Hall Square – travelling in a westerly direction along Town Hall Square from its junction with Town Hall Street to its junction with Doughty Road.
  • Pasture Street- travelling in an easterly direction along Pasture Street from its junction with Upper Burgess Street to its junction with Victoria Street South. THIS RESTRICTION IS A TEMPORARY REVERSAL DURING THE OVERNIGHT CLOSURE TO MAINTAIN ACCESS.

The temporary One Way restrictions are required to safely facilitate the movement of traffic during the regeneration works.  Exemptions will be for emergency vehicles only.  The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however should weather or any other conditions impact the works they will go ahead when it is safe to do so.  Diversion routes will be signposted and published online at: https://www.nelincs.gov.uk/category/public-notice/ and www.roadworks.org.

The Order will come into operation on Monday 7th January 2019, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The road will be reopened as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
