Public Notice of Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order – 10 June 2019

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motorised vehicle from proceeding along the below mentioned highways;

between 06:00hrs Friday 28th June to 05:59hrs Saturday 29th June, 2019:

  • Alexandra Road (Sea Road to Sea View Street)
  • High Cliff Road (Sea View Street to Brighton Street)
  • Knoll Street (full length)
  • Sea View Street (New Road to Alexandra Road)
  • New Road (full length)
  • Humber Street (North Street to High Cliff Road)
  • Sea Road (South West direction only (Prom to Alexandra Road)
  • North Street (Wardall Street to High Cliff Road)
  • Yarra Road (car park entrance to Alexandra Road)
  • Albert Road (from Alexandra Road to a point 20 metres south west)
  • Dolphin Street (from the junction to Alexandra Road)

This temporary prohibition is required to safely facilitate the set-up of the Armed Forces Weekend Event.  The dates and times above are correct at the point of print.  Local diversions will be signposted and plans published online at: www.roadworks.org and https://www.nelincs.gov.uk/category/public-notice/.  A plan of the closure will be available online at the council contact centre.  Exemptions will be for authorised vehicles only:

  • Liveried Local Authority Vehicles (ENGIE/ NELC)
  • Tow Away Vehicles
  • Emergency Vehicles (Fire, Police, Ambulance, Coast Guard)
  • Military Vehicles
  • Authorised Contractors / Utilities / Waste

The Order will come into operation at 06:00hrs on Friday 28th June, 2019 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding three days unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the event.
