Verge and footway parking

An increase in car ownership has also increased the problem of grass verge parking. The ‘green’ concept on which many residential areas were designed is gradually disappearing.

Under a Traffic Regulation Order, verge and footway parking is a contravention and motorists found to be parking on either a verge or footway, could be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.

A Traffic Regulation Order is now in place at New Waltham, Waltham and Immingham. North East Lincolnshire Council’s Civil Enforcement Officers are enforcing verge and footway parking.
