Work to test three bridges on the A1173 and Hobson Way will take place on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 May.
The works are essential to test the condition of the bridge waterproofing as part of the routine maintenance programme and identify any potential future repairs needed.
Works will take place at the following locations:
- Little London Bridge, A1173 Stallingborough Road, bridge crossing North Beck Drain
- North Beck Bridge, A1173 Immingham, bridge crossing North Beck Drain
- Middle Drain Bridge, Hobson Way, Immingham, bridge crossing Middle Drain
On each day, works are scheduled to take place between 9:30am and 3:30pm, with each bridge due to be tested on a rolling programme.
During the testing, a temporary single lane closure will be required on the bridge so the works can be completed safely with temporary two-way traffic lights in place.
No road closures or diversions will be required to complete the works.
Local residents and businesses affected by the works will be contacted before works start.
North East Lincolnshire Council, ENGIE and Route One Infrastructure would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during the works.
The works will be managed and overseen by North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE, with contractor Route One Infrastructure Limited completing the works.
