Education welfare
The law states all children of compulsory school age should receive a suitable education either by regular attendance at school or otherwise. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that their child attends school regularly. Education welfare officers work closely with families and schools to resolve attendance issues as well as undertaking a number of statutory duties on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council.
