Temporary Footpath Closure – Public Bridleway 12, Grimsby and Part of Public Bridleway 36, Healing

THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY, 12 GRIMSBY AND PART OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY 36, HEALING ORDER 2024

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), the Highway Authority for the above-mentioned path in the Borough of North East Lincolnshire, is satisfied that access should be prohibited on the said path by reason to due to the risk of asbestos being uncovered during recent works.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all powers them enabling in that behalf hereby make the following Order:-

1. No person shall proceed along the Public Rights of Way except for Environment Agency and authorised contractors, emergency services (Fire, Police, Ambulance, Coast Guard) and Council officials.

• The Public Rights of Way details as follows:
• Part of Public Bridleway 36, Healing between the junction of Public Footpath 47 and Public Bridleway 36 at Grid Reference TA524880, 412240 and Healing Parish Boundary / junction of Public Bridleway 12, Grimsby at Grid Reference TA525080, 412020.
• Public Bridleway 12 Grimsby between Healing Parish Boundary / Public Bridleway 36 Healing at Grid Reference TA525080, 412020 and Grid Reference TA526180, 410960 at the highway known as Moody Lane.

3.  The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

4.  The Order will come into operation on the Sunday 1^st December 2024 and shall continue in force for a period of six months then the Order ceases to operate unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. 

5.  The Order may be cited as “The North East Lincolnshire Borough Council Temporary Closure of Public Bridleway 12 Grimsby and part of Public Bridleway 36, Healing Order 2024”.
