North East Lincolnshire Council and its regeneration partner ENGIE have struck gold at the Bricks, a national industry awards ceremony.
The Council’s building control team won the Bricks and Mortar Partnership Award for their continued work with LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Warranty to produce houses that are safe, efficient and comply with building regulations.
LABC Warranty works with local authorities to provide a complete solution for building control and structural warranty. The service applies to the majority of new homes built in North East Lincolnshire.
The Bricks is an exclusive annual awards ceremony celebrating the best in the house building industry.
The award judges said:
“North East Lincolnshire Council’s Building Control Team has shown their ongoing commitment to maintaining the relationship with LABC Warranty, undertaking training and experiences to enable a greater understanding of the service. Their belief in providing a good service for both building control and warranty is paramount to maintaining the partnership.”
Councillor David Watson, portfolio holder for Energy and Environment, said:
“This award demonstrates the quality of the public and private sector partnerships that we are building in North East Lincolnshire and that we are striving to ensure that people in the borough are able to live in safe, secure and efficient homes.
“I would like to congratulate those involved in the building control team and thank them for their continued good work.”
