Police and Crime Commissioner Election – 2 May 2024


An election will be held on Thursday 2 May 2024 to elect a new Police and Crime Commissioner for the Humberside Police area.

The Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for policing in the following local authority areas:

  • East Riding of Yorkshire Council
  • Hull City Council
  • North Lincolnshire
  • North East Lincolnshire

For each police force area, one council will act as the lead authority to undertake the nominations of candidates, coordinate the elections and is responsible for announcing the results following the count.

For Humberside, the lead authority is East Riding of Yorkshire Council.  Their website will contain all of the information for this election, such as a timetable, information for candidates, results of the election, and other electoral processes.

Please note that elections for the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner take place every four years.

Count

The verification of North East Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioners ballot papers will take place at 10pm on Thursday, 2 May 2024 at Grimsby Auditorium/Grimsby Leisure Centre, Cromwell Road, Grimsby. The count will take place as the same venue on Friday 3 May 2024, commencing from 11am.
