North East Lincolnshire is split into two parliamentary constituencies:
- Brigg and Immingham County (taking in the Barton, Brigg and Wolds, Broughton and Appleby and Ferry Wards from North Lincolnshire Council)
- Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes Borough.
MPs are elected to office through Parliamentary elections, which are normally held every five years. Each MP serves in the House of Commons, based within the Houses of Parliament at Westminster in London. MPs represent the interests of the people living in their constituency.
Count
The counting of votes for both constituencies will take place at the close of the poll on 4 July 2024 at the Grimsby Town Hall, Town Hall Square, Grimsby. Those entitled to attend the count are the candidate and his/her guest, the candidate’s election agent, and the candidate’s counting agents (the Acting Returning Officer will notify the number in due course). Notification in writing of a candidate’s counting agents must be given to the Acting Returning Officer no later than 27 June 2024.
