Picture shows the North Prom – walk to Wonderland along the Prom for temporary toilets from mid-July
Additional temporary toilets are being brought into Cleethorpes, on the North Prom, for the 2026 season for people to use.
The normal provision at Sea Road has been disrupted due to the building works, so working with Wonderland, the Council is trialling additional facilities for the busiest part of the summer.
From 13 July until early September, three additional toilets (two single standard units and one accessible unit) will be installed inside the Wonderland building at the north end of the North Prom and will be free for visitors to use.
The facilities will be open six days a week – every day from 9am to 4pm, except Wednesdays when the business is closed.
Cllr Oliver Freeston, Leader of the Council, said: “I’d like to thank Wonderland for hosting these for us. Once the Sea Road building has been completed, there will be lots of additional toilets as well as a baby changing / accessible facility and a dedicated changing places facility right in the middle of the resort, but until then, we need to do something quickly to improve on what we have available. What we have is not acceptable for local people and visitors, and I’m pleased we’ve been able to take quick action ahead of the summer season.
“I’d also like to explore with local businesses, whether there is something longer-term we can do to improve access to facilities. If any business wants to contact us with some ideas to improve toilet provision in the resort and explore joint working options, please do!”
