The Families First Information Service is a free, impartial information service for families with children aged 0-19 years. We work really hard to provide you with up to date, accurate information about services and activities for children and families. You can search our directory for information about activities that are taking place in your area. We also work with services in and around the surrounding areas to ensure that you can find a service that you may need at any given time.

We constantly work on the information provided, the way in which you can search for information and we welcome all feedback about the directory from you! Resort officers
Whilst there are no lifeguards on the beach, North East Lincolnshire Council provide a Beach Safety service every day of the year. Operating from the Resort Hub on Central Promenade (opposite the Pier), the team provides a number of key services, including first aid, tidal patrols, a lost children’s service as well as providing information to visitors, businesses and residents.

The team can also provide educational talks on their role and the local environment, and welcome individuals, school groups, clubs, societies or organisations who wish to take learn more about the local features the environment has to offer, as well as the risks they pose. Please contact the team for more details.

The resort team operates:

9:00am – 6:00pm during the summer months (April – September)

9:00am – 4:00pm during the winter months (October – March)

The team use four CCTV cameras to monitor the beach and maximise public safety.

The resort team have all-terrain wheelchairs available for public use.

Tide Times

Swimming and watersports aren’t the only ways that people can get into trouble at the beach. Tide times and heights vary throughout the month and you can easily get cut off by the tide whilst out walking on the beach. You can check the tide times here. Please make sure you leave any sand banks 5 hours before the high water times to avoid being cut off by the fast incoming tide.

Dogs on the Beach

Dogs are not allowed on the beach from Wonderland Groyne (North Prom beach) to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre from Good Friday to 30 September each year. Our Beach Map shows the areas that dogs are allowed at this time.

Please keep your dog close to you and under control at all times. Please clear up your dog’s mess and use bins provided.

Our Service provides free, friendly and confidential advice, testing and treatment for sexual health and provides all methods of contraception from a number of locations across North East Lincolnshire (Grimsby, Cleethorpes & Immingham). The Service is focused on providing quality, timely and seamless care and support for people using the services, whether in our main site on the First Floor at Stirling St Medical Centre or in our community and outreach venues. We also have a ‘Hard-to-Reach’ nursing team available, to offer support in the community for clients and groups who find it difficult to access mainstream services.

You don’t need to see a GP first – you can attend one of our walk-in clinics or make an appointment at times and locations to suit your lifestyle best.

We offer a one-stop shop model of care, where sexual health advice, screening for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), diagnosis, treatment and all methods of contraception can be easily accessed at a variety of venues to meet individual needs, with all appointments made via a central booking system on 0300 330 1122.

Women’s Aid offers DOMESTIC ABUSE TRAINING and awareness raising sessions to many different types of learners including practitioners, students, agencies, staff teams, victims & survivors, volunteers and the general community.
We can deliver anything from 1 hour awareness to full accredited training days. We can also deliver in person, face-to-face, or over Zoom/Teams. We have qualified and experienced staff in domestic abuse.

We currently offer 2½ hour sessions covering DOMESTIC ABUSE topics
*Each session is accredited to 2.5 learning hours (Continuing Professional Development)
*Sessions cost £10 per person (for those booking individually)
*Sessions cost £200 per session (for those booking for large groups/teams)

Women’s Aid offers a few FREE specialist programmes for those of you who have been through abuse and want to begin your journeys to recovery.
The most popular are the ‘Freedom Programme’ and ‘Own My Life’ – they are both 12-week courses.
Freedom – helps you make sense of the abuse, unpicking and understanding some of the tactics and behaviours used by perpetrators, questioning all the myths around ‘why did I stay’ or ‘why didn’t I leave’.
Own My Life – is more about what next? What changes do you want to make? How will you continue into developing and planning your new life?

Our Older People’s Community Mental Health Team provides support within the community to the elderly and their carers.
If you or an elderly loved one is experiencing depression, psychosis, stress, anxiety, mental health or dementia and memory problems, your GP may refer you to us for an assessment.

But if you’re already receiving any of our services, you can contact us directly too.

The team will work with you - and your family and friends - to understand your needs and help support you to keep living independently in your home while also improving your quality of life.

We can also support your carers too.

The service is split into seven teams. Across these teams, there are healthcare professionals and specialists who work together to provide you with support and care.

Carer Support Team
A service that includes educational, advisory, health and wellbeing support.

Admiral Nurses
Working in partnership with family carers and people with dementia, we provide emotional and psychological support and guidance about accessing services.

Dementia Engagement
Living with or caring for someone living with dementia isn’t easy. We offer a range of groups, activities, events and volunteering opportunities to support you.

The Therapy Team
Aiming to improve general health, wellbeing and quality of life, the team build up confidence and help you achieve personal goals and engage with the community.

The Functional Team
Focusing on illness of a functional nature such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar, psychosis, anxiety, eating disorders and post-traumatic stress disorders, the team liaise with both internal and external services to make sure your care is co-ordinated.

Training and Development
From Mental Health First Aid to Dementia Friends, Dementia Bee to safeguarding adults, we offer a range of training courses including RESPECT Training and social role valorisation (exploring roles and relationships).

Care Home Liaison
If you live in a care home, the team can offer you a range of non-pharmaceutical services, such as dementia care mapping and support to manage behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.

The Memory Service
The memory service supports individuals through a dementia diagnosis.

They look to meet their emotional needs through this journey, helping them to live well, whilst providing mental health support for behavioural and pscyhological symptoms of dementia.

If you’re worried about your memory, please contact your GP. They will speak to you about a referral to the service. If you’re worried about someone else’s memory problems, encourage them to speak to their GP. It may be helpful if you go along with them. A member of the memory team will then contact you to arrange a visit within ten working days.

How do I access the Older People’s Community Mental Health Team?

Speak to your GP
If you think you’d benefit from getting support from the Older People’s Community Mental Health Team, you should get in touch with your GP.

Your GP will then refer you to us through the Single Point of Access. The Older People’s Community Mental Health Team will contact you for an assessment, so we can discuss your needs.

If you're feeling stressed, anxious or depressed, you can self-refer directly to our Open Minds service on this website.

Speak to the person in charge of your care
If you’re already under the care of another NAViGO service, you should speak to the person involved in your care.
