Temporary Footpath Closure – Part of public footpath 11, Grimsby

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), the Highway Authority for the above-mentioned path in the Borough of North East Lincolnshire, is satisfied that access should be prohibited on the said path by reason to avoid danger to persons using the path due to works taking place along it.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all powers them enabling in that behalf hereby make the following Order:-

1. No person shall proceed along the Public Rights of Way except for authorised contractors, emergency services (Fire, Police, Ambulance, Coast Guard) and Council officials.
2. The Public Rights of Way details as follows:
   • Part of Public Footpath 11, Grimsby between Public Footpath 11 Grid Reference TA527003, 409652 and Frederick Ward Way at Grid Reference TA527000, 409543.
3. The Order will come into operation on Monday 23^rd June 2025 and will continue in force for a period of one week.  The works will take place during this week and are likely not to exceed more than 5 hours. The path will be reopened after these works have taken place. The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however should weather or any other conditions impact the works they will go ahead when it is safe to do so.
4. The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
5. The Order will come into operation on Monday 23^rd June 2025 and shall continue in force for a period of one week then the Order ceases to operate unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport.
6. The Order may be cited as “The North East Lincolnshire Borough Council temporary closure of part of Public Bridleway 11 Grimsby, Order 2025.
