A range of improvements will be carried out at a Grimsby junction to make the area safer for motorists and pedestrians.
Works will be carried out at the Great Coates Road/ Wybers Way/ Larmour Road junction, including the relocation of a traffic island and resurfacing of certain roads.
These works will ensure large vehicles such as lorries and buses are able to navigate the left had turn corner from Wybers Way to Great Coates Road, an issue that has recently been raised by the community.
Moving the island will also give pedestrians a better perspective when crossing the road to ensure they can do so safely. Included in these works is also carriageway resurfacing, the installation of new tactile crossing points on Larmour Road and road marking work.
To complete this and cause as little disruption as possible, there will be a series of overnight closures and four way temporary traffic lights throughout the 8 week period.
Work is due to begin on Monday, 8 September, and finish on Friday, 31 October. The temporary traffic signals will be operated manually from 7am to 7pm to ensure motorists are not inconvenienced by the ongoing works.
There will be three sections of work throughout the period:

Following the removal of existing traffic island, the main civil works will begin. From 4am on Tuesday 16 September 2025, 24hrs 4 way temporary traffic signals will be in place at the junction of Great Coates Road, Larmour Road and Wybers Way.
