Thinking about quitting smoking? Join the Wellbeing Service at Riverhead Square on Thursday 11 December, between 10am and 1pm.
Find out what local support is available to you and get answers to questions you may have.
You’ll be able to share your thoughts on barriers and motivators to quitting and pick up freebies and leaflets on how to get started.
The team will also be offering blood pressure checks. Untreated high blood pressure is a major risk factor for stroke, heart attack, kidney disease, and early death. It has no obvious signs or symptoms. The only way to find out if you have the condition is to have a blood pressure check, so please come along and see us.
About our stop smoking service
The service offers a variety of support, including face-to-face support and advice, phone calls/texts and stop smoking aids that can help you to not smoke when you feel you really want to.
You can get access to a free vape starter kit, with up to a 12-week supply of salts when using the service and meeting regularly with the team, as well as Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), such as nicotine patches and gum. You can use more than one of these paths.
